Chadron PD Makes DUI Arrest On Thursday Night

The Chadron Police Department made an arrest on Thursday night following a disturbance in the 100 block of North Mears St.

According to the report from Chadron Police Sgt. Jarvis Wallage, officers responded to a witness phone call in the area that was following a damaged vehicle leaving the 100 block of North Mears.

As officers were en route to the scene, more calls came into the dispatch center from the same residential area reporting that the same vehicle had caused damage to property and other vehicles.

Using witness information and following vehicle fluids from the scene, officers were able to locate the suspected vehicle and driver on Norfolk Avenue.

Sgt. Wallage had initial contact with the driver of the vehicle and identified the female driver as
Nona J. Warrior age 31 of Chadron. A subsequent investigation was conducted of Warrior for
driving under the influence of alcohol. As a result, Warrior was placed under arrest for 4th Offense DUI alcohol, Felony DUI while driving with a revoked license and Criminal Mischief.

Warrior was remanded to the custody of the Dawes County Jail pending a 10% of $25,000 bond. Warrior was also arrested and held on an outstanding Pennington County South Dakota warrant with no bond for a probation revocation for drug related offenses.

Several thousand dollars in damage is estimated to the 3 vehicles, fence and residential property hit by Warrior. The accident investigation continues and more charges may be pending as a result.
