A 29-year-old Omaha man who fled to Nicaragua after being charged with dozens of felony counts of child pornography and enticement has pleaded No Contest to 7 of the counts.
Adam Hawhee faces up to 88 years in prison when he’s sentenced in December.
Hawhee was originally charged last year with 2 counts of child enticement and 26 counts of possessing child pornography for trying to entice two 7-year-old girls at an Omaha park in March 2020.
He was freed after posting bond, but jailed again months later after allegedly exposing himself to a young boy.
Hawhee again posted bond and was freed again, but then fled to Nicaragua, missing a December court appearance before he was arrested there and returned to Omaha earlier this year.
All together, Hawhee paid $120,000 in bail – 10% of the $1.2-million total imposed by judges and now all forfeited.
