Nebraska Republican gubernatorial candidate Charles Herbster has to find a new running mate.
Shortly after announcing he was running, Herbster picked Douglas County GOP leader and former state lawmaker Theresa Thibodeau to be his lieutenant governor.
Thibodeau now says she doesn’t think she has the time necessary for campaigning.
Herbster, a southeast Nebraska rancher and manufacturer, is one of several Republicans hoping to succeed term-limited Pete Ricketts.
