Chadron Schools Superintendent Ginger Meyer posted on her blog hosted on the Chadron Public Schools website that the Nebraska Child Nutrition Program will not be offering free lunches for the 2022-23 school year.
Over the course of COVID, a program was put in place that provided free lunches for all students regardless of family income.
Meyer went on to say that free and reduced meal applications will be mailed out by mid-July.
Completed forms are needed to help with state aid and federal funds that help fund and support the CPS district.
