Chadron’s 5-year old Art Alley Paint the Town community murals project begins work on its latest painting today – the west wall of the Chadron Natural Food Co-op in the 200 block of Main Street.
Chadron Chamber of Commerce Director Gabby Michna, one of the driving forces behind Art Alley, says 3 days of painting have been scheduled for the mural.
The Art Alley murals are essentially giant paint-by-number works with the design projected onto the wall and outlined into segments with the appropriate colors identified.
Michna says that means everyone of all ages and art abilities (or non-abilities) is invited to come and help.
Art Alley was one of the 70 sites on the 2021 Nebraska Passport program
