Funeral services for 30-year old Nico Medina are Monday, May 10, 2021 at 1:00 at St Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Rapid City, SD, with Pastor Henrique Fleming officiating.
Burial follows at 2:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City
Visitation precedes the services from 11:00 – 1:00, also at St Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Rapid City
Nico Alvino Medina was born on November 4, 1990 in Rapid City, SD to Felix Medina and Denise Balderramos. Nico made his journey to the Spirit World on April 28, 2021 in San Antonio, TX.
Nico is survived by his mother, Denise (Salvador Vasquez) Balderramos of San Antonio, TX; father, Felix Medina of Houston, TX; siblings, Doloris Balderramos of San Antonio, TX and Rachel Little Thunder of Rapid City, SD; aunts, Nadine Balderramos of Deridder, LA, Shannon (Tony McSwain) Brown and Francis Brown both of Dothan, AL, and Dion (Kim) Brown of California; uncles, John (Sarah) Primeau of Seattle, WA, William Brown of Dothan, AL, and Manuel Medina of Denver, CO; and cousins, Sharon (Carlos Aguilar) Janis of Box Elder, SD, Leann (Hannah) Hurth of Deridder, LA, Stanley (Anna) Janis and Alan Janis both of Rapid City, SD.
Nico was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manuel Balderramos and Belva Eagle Tail; and aunts, Colleen Balderramos and Renee Goll.
Pallbearers will be Salvador Vasquez, Stanley Janis, Carlos Aguilar, Bradley Janis, and Anthony Jones, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends & family.
