Niquel Paulette Standing Bear was born on Dec 15, 1992 in Pine Ridge, SD to Carl Standing Bear and Denise Packed. Niquel made her journey to the Spirit World on April 5, 2024 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Niquel is survived by her children J’serie Standing Bear, Milana Standing Bear, and Hayden Standing Bear; father Carl Standing Bear; mother Denise Packed; sisters Trinity Standing Bear and Carla Standing Bear; brothers Jon Standing Bear, Jayden Standing Bear, Francis Packed, Dave Standing Bear, and Carl Standing Bear Jr; aunts Clevette Twiss-DuBray, Sherry Packed, Patricia Standing Bear, and Caroline Standing Bear; uncles Issac Standing Bear, Gene Standing Bear, Fred Packed, Thomas Packed, and Frank Packed; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Niquel was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Edsel and Evelyn (Black Eyes) Standing Bear; maternal grandparents Fred Packed Sr and Pauline Gerry DuBray; and brothers Eric Standing Bear and Arlo Standing Bear.
Pallbearers are Dennis Means, Jerome Poor Thunder, Tom Packed, Taatae Standing Bear, Dale Libby Jr, Spencer Standing Bear, Arlo Poor Thunder, Curt Hernandez, and Chris Richards.
