During the month of November 2023, twenty-eight people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

¨ These 28 fatalities occurred in 25 fatal crashes.
¨      Ten of the twenty-four vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, eight were using a seatbelt, and six had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.
¨ Nineteen of the fatalities were in rural locations*.
¨ There were eight fatalities on the interstate, nine on other highways, and eleven on local roads.
¨ Two of the fatalities were motorcyclists.
¨ Two of the fatalities were pedestrians.
¨ One fatality crash involved a train.
