NSP Bomb Squad Disposes Of Old Hand Grenade

The Nebraska State Patrol says an old but live hand grenade found Sunday in Norfolk was safely disposed of by the agency’s bomb squad.

A social media posting from the State Patrol Training Academy said the grenade was found in a small canister labeled “frag,” – apparently short for fragmentation grenade.

The posting was described as a “friendly reminder” to call the authorities if you ever find military ordnance that might be live.
