An Alliance who failed to show up in court for sentencing has been arrested by Nebraska State Patrol investigators and the Alliance Police Department. 34-year old Richard Garcia was taken into custody on two arrest warrants for failure to appear.
The first warrant was for not being at his sentencing while the second was for charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, carrying a concealed weapon, and being a habitual criminal.
State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says investigators learned Garcia was in a house in the central residential district of Alliance and obtained a search warrant, which was served by members of the State Patrol SWAT Team.
Garcia was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Box Butte County Jail, where he remains without bail.
