Rapid City police say one man is dead and one in custody following a homicide on the sidewalk at the Cornerstone Rescue Mission Thursday morning.
32-year-old Michael Flores Jr of Rapid City is being held in the Pennington County Jail on a charge of 1st-degree murder
Officers responding just after 3:00 am to a report of an unconscious man on the ground found the body of a white male, whose name has not yet been released.
Rapid City police and Pennington County sheriff’s deputies interviewed several individuals in the area, who provided information that led to the arrest of Flores.
He is already on parole for assaulting law enforcement officers and possession of a controlled substance.
