The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a one-vehicle accident about 2:30 Saturday morning near Box Elder claimed one life. Release of the name is pending notification of family.
The Highway Patrol says a car westbound on Hwy 1416 a mile east of Box Elder left the roadway, hit a guardrail, went into the ditch, and overturned.
The 51-year old male driver, who was alone, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
