Open House/Reception Today In Sidney For New WNCC President

New Western Nebraska Community College President Greg Dart will be in Sidney today for the first of 3 open houses on all 3 WNCC campuses to get better acquainted with area residents and communities.

Today’s reception runs from 11:30-1:00 in the I&E Center on the Sidney Campus. The public is invited and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Dart, who was named president in April and took over in July, says he’s “amazed by all of the wonderful things happening on our campuses and look forward to meeting members of our communities.”

Chief Campus Administrator for 10 years at Utah State University-Eastern before coming to WNCC, Dart says he believes partnerships are the lifeblood of success in rural Nebraska and hopes to use the open houses to start or strengthen relationships

He says he’s “thrilled to get to meet members of the community and look for ways that we can work together to accomplish vital things for western Nebraska,” adding that he knows ”together we can accomplish things that we could not do on our own.”

The Alliance Campus Open House will be next Thursday from 11:30-1:00 in the Community Room.

The WNCC board will host a welcome reception for Dart on the Scottsbluff Campus after its Oct. 4 board meeting. It will run from 3:30 – 5:30
