Open Of PRCA Rodeo And Inflatables Highlight Thursday At The Sheridan County Fair

Loading

This is the busiest day yet of the Sheridan County Fair and Rodeo in Gordon, starting at 6:30 this morning with donuts from Security First Bank and running until the Teen Dance ends at 11:30.

Fair Board Secretary Courtney Ostrander says while there are lots of animal events including beef and dairy showmanship in the morning, the dog and cat shows in the afternoon, and livestock judging at 4:00, two events outshine the others.

Those are the opening of the Inflatables Carnival and the PRCA Rodeo, both running through Saturday.

The rodeo has slack sessions today and tomorrow at 9:00 in the morning with evening performances at 7:00 all 3 nights. Ostrander is excited by the quality of the performers.

Ostrander is also looking forward to the return of the Inflatables, which will be open from 1:00 to 10:00 through Saturday. She admits they were brought in the first almost out of desperation but proved to be a big hit with parents and kids.

Wrapping up Thursday at the Sheridan County Fair will be the Teen Dance, set to run from 8:00 to 11:30.
