We are excited to invite you to the annual Panhandle Safety & Wellness Conference showcasing leaders in safety and wellness and providing the most up-to-date information to take away for your worksite, organization, hospital, or school. Join us at the Gering Civic Center on September 21, 2023, for a jam-packed day.

The keynote, Cara Filler, is a compelling author, entrepreneur, and traffic safety specialist who has shared her moving presentation with more than 2,000,000 people in five countries. Drawing from an immense personal tragedy in her own life, Cara’s inspiring presentation focuses on dealing with peer pressure, traffic safety, and making everyday choices count. Why? Because it could just save a life!

“We are always thrilled to bring such a high-quality line-up to the Panhandle. It’s a low-cost day of learning to keep employees safe and well and you don’t have to travel far,” said Nicole Berosek, Organizational Wellness Coordinator with Panhandle Public Health District.

Other engaging sessions will cover important and timely topics such as Creating a Psychologically Safe Workplace, How to Offer an Exciting Employee Well-Being & Strategic Planning Day, and Active Shooter Awareness.

Space is limited, so get registered today at http://www.pphd.ne.gov/pwwc.html or

The Council specializes in supporting employers in the Panhandle region. We recognize that
many employers support a diverse and remote workforce and offer innovative ways to
overcome the challenge of working with a virtual team. We understand that many of our
employers do not have full-time wellness resources and work to provide resources and training to make running a worksite wellness program as easy as possible.

Panhandle Public Health District is working together to improve the health, safety and quality of life for all who live, learn, work and play in the Panhandle. Our vision is that we are a healthier and safer Panhandle community.
