Funeral services for 81-year old Pasquerita Tobacco are Friday, Dec 3, 2021 at 11:00 at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, SD, with the Rev Cyrus Black Elk officiating and traditional Lakota services by Mr Quincy Red Feather
Burial is at St John’s Episcopal Cemetery in Oglala.
A one-night wake service starts Thurs, Dec 2, at 2:00, also at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala.
Pasquerita May (Ten Fingers) Tobacco was born on July 29, 1969 in Pine Ridge, SD to Dennis Andrew Ten Fingers and Arlene Lydia Dog Trail. She made her journey to the Spirit World on November 22, 2021 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Pasquerita is survived by her daughters, Duwanna Left Hand Bull of Rosebud, SD and Shayera Haskell of Rapid City, SD; sons, Manuel Tobacco, Jr. of Rapid City, SD and Daniel Tobacco of Calico Community; siblings, Brennen Ten Fingers of Wounded Knee, SD, Levi Two Dogs of Denver, CO, John Waters of Pine Ridge, SD, and Violet Waters of Pine Ridge, SD; uncle, Ted Ten Fingers of Rapid City, SD; and grandchildren, Natayshia, Nathaniel, Jr., and Bill Ten Fingers, All of Calico Community and Kaliah “Pebs” Left Hand Bull of Rosebud, SD.
Pasquerita was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Andrew Ten Fingers and Arlene Lydia Dog Trail; son, Nathaniel Ten Fingers; infant children, Jamie, Cassandra, Dennis, and Sterling Ten Fingers; grandparents, Leroy Ten Fingers and Mercy Pipe On Head; auntie “mom, ” Dorothy Ten Fingers-Waters; siblings, JoAnn Two Dogs, Juanita Two Dogs, Leroy Two Dogs, Alan Waters, Sr., and Jolene Ten Fingers.
Pallbearers will be Tia Ten Fingers, Alexis Arpan, Rebecca Runs Above, Melina “Mo” Belt, Donald Belt, Brennen Ten Fingers, Jr., Larry New Holy, and Charles Waters, Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
