Memorial services for 76-year old Patricia Salway-Krier are Wednesday, September, 8 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Martin, SD, with Deacon Cal Clifford officiating.
There will be a light lunch provided following the services at 4:00 PM at the Martin City Park in Martin. Patricia’s family asks that everyone follow precautions against the spread of COVID 19.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Patricia Joan (Salway) Krier was born on June 9, 1945, to Marvin and Wyomia (Fay) Salway in Edgemont, SD, and made her way to the Spirit World on August 26, 2021 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD.
Patricia attended high school in Pine Ridge, SD, and married the love of her life, Robert Krier, on December 1, 1962 in Casper, Wyo.
They were blessed with two children, Kristine and Kurtis. Patricia loved her family dearly.
She and Robert spent a large part of their lives in and around Martin. Together, they enjoyed fishing, baking, decorating cakes and visiting the casino.
Patricia also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and all sorts of crafts as well as bingo. She always had a love of stuffed animals, but loved all live animals as well, especially horses and dogs.
Patricia was always listening to music and enjoyed watching western movies. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, she was always willing to lend a helping hand and volunteer whenever anyone needed help.
Patricia is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 58 years, daughter Kristine (Gerald) Novak and son Kurtis (Lucero) Krier; grandchildren Anthony (Christian) Novak, Nathan (Malesa) Novak, Nicole Novak, Zayra Krier and Vlad Krier, and great-grandchildren Zakk, Tristan, Justin and Greyson
Patricia is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Salway and Orla Salway, nieces Wyomia (Dave) and Patty Jo, nephews Virgil (Cercie), Rudy, Robert and Jesse, great-nephews Alex, Aric, Sage and Seth and great-niece Teka.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Wyomia (Fay) Salway; sister Sandra Salway; brothers Ashton Salway and Marvin Ritts; and nephew Butch.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
