Funeral services will not be held for 85-year old Phyllis Jenrick of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Chadron, NE.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at Metcalf Funeral and Memorial Services, 245 North 27th St, Lincoln, NE 68503

Phyllis May Jenrick was born Dec 13, 1935, in Baggs, WY, the third of 12 children born to Von Leon and Venna Mae (Boren) Fullmer. She passed away at her home on Dec 10, 2021, just 3 days shy of her 86th birthday. 

Growing up, Phyllis traveled around Wyoming, Colorado and Utah as her father found work through the Great Depression. 

Phyllis married the love of her life Nathan (Nate) Charles Jenrick on June 11, 1961. They had two children: Kelly David and Natalie Rene . They moved around Montana and Wyoming as Nate worked as a ranch hand and Phyllis as a ranch cook. After Nate’s death on October 22, 1975, Phyllis raised Kelly and Natalie on her own. 

Phyllis also had two children by a previous marriage Roger Dean Loghry and Dawnetta Evonne Loghry.  

Phyllis had a wanderlust spirit and moved around through Montana, Oregon, and Arizona while her children grew up. 

Phyllis moved back to the Shoshoni/Riverton, WY. area in 1988 to be near family. She spent a little over 8 years, then moved to Chadron in 1997 to be close to her daughter and granddaughter. After 18 years, she moved with her daughter, granddaughter and grandson to Lincoln in 2015, where she lived until her death. 

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Dawnetta, siblings Leon, Franklin Merlin, Darlene, Alvin Willard, Carolyne Rae, Marvin Rex, Nina  Lee, Anita Marie, and Shirley and daughter-in-law Alberta Loghry. 

She is survived by her sons Roger Dean Loghry, Kelly (Rebecca) Jenrick and daughter Natalie Jenrick, granddaughters Liberty (Shane) Lanier and Peyton (Howard) Hardnett and grandson Nathan Eugene Jenrick, her dear brother Leland Theodore and sister Veda Raiter. 

Phyllis was a very proud great-grandmother to Tori (Dustin) Swim, Adrian,, Zachary,  Samatha, Lola and Cora Lanier, and a Great-Great-Grandmother to Elenor “Ellie” Swim and another baby girl Swim expected in May 2022. Numerous nephews and nieces also survive her.
