Funeral services for 78-year old Phyllis Joyce Brewer are Friday, June 25th at 2:00 pm at the Indian Action Garage in Pine Ridge.
A wake service will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday, June 24th at 3:30 pm at Indian Action Garage.
Burial will be held at the Charging Family Cemetery in Slim Buttes, SD.
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of the arrangements for Phyllis Joyce Brewer.
Phyllis Joyce Brewer was born on March 12, 1943 in Porcupine, SD to Frank Locke and Catherine Louise Charging. Phyllis made her journey to the Spirit World on June 17, 2021 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Charles “Bamm” (Ashley) Brewer, Jr., Anthony “Tony” Brewer, Sr., and Deanna “Renee” (Joe) Swift Bird; siblings, Ora Charging, Cheryl Locke, Priscilla Locke, Debra Locke, Clement Locke, Darrell Locke, Merle Locke, and Etheleen Two Dogs; grandchildren, Matthew Brewer, Cole Brewer, Elliott Brewer, Veronica Brewer, Cecelia and Silje Olsen, Delmar Wilson, Larissa Wilson, Tiarra Swift Bird, Teonie Brewer, Arlen Brewer, Morgan Brewer, Carly Brewer, Cecil Apple, and Tony Brewer, Jr.; great grandchildren, Hunter Brewer, Haven Brewer, Tatum Brewer, Bernice Brewer, Brantly Brewer, Zane Brewer, Delmar Wilson, Jr., Samuel Wilson, Lamiyah Bissonette, Tony Brewer III, Anaya White Horse, Taylor Wilson, and Kendall Wilson.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Locke and Catherine Louise Charging; siblings, Francis Afraid of Hawk, Ellowyn Locke, Duane Locke, Jess Charging, Bill Charging, and Joseph Charging; paternal grandparents, James & Hail (Good Pipe) Locke; and maternal grandparents, David & Elizabeth (Gray Blanket) Charging.
Pallbearers will be Elliot Brewer, Cole Brewer, Anthony “June Bug” Brewer, Jr., Davey Brewer II, Dave Clifford, Lawrence Martin, Jr., Tim Giago II, Matthew Brewer, Delmar Wilson, Arlen Brewer, Tim Brewer, Josh Apple, Jesse Charging, Bill Charging, Jr., Joe Charging, and Garrell Little.
