Republican nominee for governor Jim Pillen is wrapping up a 3-day, 6-stop Nebraska Values town hall tour this morning in Chadron.
PIllen – a veterinarian, farmer-rancher, and University of Nebraska Regent – will be at Just Love Coffee at 3rd and Main from 8:00-9:30.
His tour began Sunday in Minden, then had stops yesterday in McCook, Imperial, Sidney, and Alliance.
Pillen says “Government should reflect our commonsense, conservative values at every level,” and pledges that he’ll fight as governor to “ensure they’re passed onto future generations of Nebraskans.”
Pillen declined to take part in debates in the crowded Republican primary or for the general election with Democratic State Senator Carol Blood, saying he feels he can better communicate his positions with town hall meetings and other small gatherings.
