Playoff Recap: Hay Springs, Hot Springs See Seasons End

The Talan and Dakota Storer connection accounted for 4 passing touchdowns and Lance Vasa had two on the ground as Arthur County ended Hay Springs season in the quarterfinals of the D6 quarterfinals on Friday night 48-13.

Hay Springs answered the Wolves first touchdown drive with a 42 yard Gage Mintken touchdown run, but that was the only offense that the Hawks would put together.

Trailing 30-6, Hay Springs Dylan Raymer returned an ensuing kickoff after an Arthur County touchdown 75-yards to make it 30-13, but those would be the last points the Hawks would score.

Hay Springs will end the season at 6-4 while Arthur County advances to next Friday’s semifinals.

– Potter-Dix was eliminated from the D6 playoffs as the top seeded Coyotes lost 62-47 to Pawee City.

–Scottsbluff’s Braeden Stull ran for 5 touchdowns and 217 yards and the Bearcats blew out Omaha Skutt in the Class B playoffs 33-0 on Friday. Scottsbluff will travel to Omaha Gross next week for the semifinals.

– Hot Springs saw their magical run through the playoffs end on Friday with a 42-14 loss to Elk Point-Jefferson in the 11B semifinals.

The Huskies built a 34-0 halftime lead before the Bison outscored them in the 2nd half 14-8.

Hot Springs end the year at 8-3.

– Wall is off to the 9AA state championship for the first time in over a decade as they took down Hamlin 26-13 at home last night.

Wall had been eliminated from the playoffs in the semifinal round the previous two seasons.
