  The Sheridan County Fair and Rodeo in Gordon moves to the second half of its name today with the first of 3 days of PRCA Rodeo action.
It starts with the first slack session this morning at 9:00 and then the first evening session at 7:00. While admission is charged for the evening session, slack is free.
      Today also brings back the Rodeo Queen competition after a few years absence.
Sheridan County Fair Board Secretary Courtney Ostrander says there are 3 contestants thanks to a pair of dedicated volunteers.
Ostrander says tonight also sees the opening of the popular Inflatables, joined by something new this year.
There are a lot of other things go on today at the Sheridan County Fair with free donuts from Security First Bank this morning at 6:30, followed by the Breeding Beef, Stockers, and Dairy Showmanship competition at 9:00
There’s also the Cat Show at 1:00, Dog Show at 2:00, and livestock judging at 4:00 while ending the night is the teen dance from 8:00-11:30.
