After having the first perfect weekend at the plate in CSC softball history, Sloane Quijas has been named the RMAC Week 13 Softball Player of the Week.
Quijas, a senior from Erie, Colorado, went a perfect 12 for 12 at the plate in CSC’s 3-1 series victory over CSU-Pueblo last weekend.
The senior had 12 hits in 12 at bats, while scoring seven runs and adding five RBIs. With a slugging percentage of 1.167, Quijas hit two doubles and drew three walks over the weekend.
Quijas had three hits in each of the four games. In the series opener, she hit a two RBI double and an RBI single, helping the Eagles earn a 13-1 victory.
In the series third game, a single to center field by Quijas added her two other RBIs.
Quijas joins two other CSC softball players to receive the honor from the RMAC. Mackenzi Kroll was the week 10 Player of the Week, while Delaney Farnsworth was the week 5 Pitcher of the Week.
The softball team’s season continues on Thursday when they face Regis in the opening round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament in Lakewood, Colorado.
