The spring signing day has come and gone and two Chadron High seniors signed their National Letters of Intent on Thursday in a ceremony at Chadron High School. Quinn Bailey signed with NCAA Division Two Western to play football while Caden Buskirk signed with NAIA school Dakota Wesleyan to play baseball.
Bailey had a stellar career for the Cardinals in football, rushing for 2,674 yards his senior year, 6,164 in his career to set the single season and career rushing records for the Cardinals. He joins a Western program that went 11-2 last season, making an appearance in the D-2 playoffs.
Buskirk has been a standout baseball player for the Platte Valley Bank American Legion Post 12 Chadron team. He will join 2024 Chadron high graduate Broc Berry at Dakota Wesleyan in the NAIA Great Plains Athletic Conference.
