The Crawford Rams basketball teams have opened with a 2-0 start to the season.
The boys opened the season with a 51-41 victory over Bayard Friday night.
Bayard led 9-5 after one quarter, but the Rams exploded for 20 points in the second quarter.
Bayard added 17 and held on to a slim 26-25 margin at half-time. Crawford took the lead in the third quarter behind a 16-11 run and capped it off with a 10-4 showing in the final eight minutes. Taylor Homan led the Rams with 31 points. Homan had six three-pointers in the contest and went seven-of-eight from the free throw line.
The boys followed up the win with another 10-point victory over Sioux County the following night.
The Lady Rams took down Bayard 35-31 in the season opener Dec. 6 and followed that with a 63-11 win over Oelrichs Saturday. Quarter scores and stats were not available at press time.
