Memorial services for 59-year old Randy Rising of Harrison, NE, are Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Sioux County Fairgrounds in Harrison, NE.
There will be a luncheon after the services at the Rocky Top Dance Hall in Harrison.

Randy Wilbur Rising was born in Crawford to Wilbur Lewis and Helen Mae (Londrigan) Rising on August 31, 1962, and passed peacefully after a long illness at home surrounded by his family on August 4, 2022.
Randy spent his childhood in the Marsland – Crawford area on the Tollman Ranch where his father worked. He transferred from Crawford High School after two years to Harrison where he attended last two years before graduating from Sioux County High School in 1980.
Randy started rodeoing during High School, where he qualified for the State and National High School Finals Rodeo. Later, he was the NSRA Bareback Champion and won three go rounds and the average in Saddle Broncs at the Prairie Circuit Finals.
Randy stayed very active in Rodeo after he retired from riding the rough stock – whether it was opening gates, helping the riders get ready, or watching it; this was a part of him through and through.
Randy belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Crawford and The Sioux County Historical Society in Harrison.
Randy enjoyed working for the Wilkins Family on their farm and ranch, but worked for BNSF from 1994 to 2009. Hethen worked for the Land Drilling Exploration Company before his own business, RW Rising and Family Trucking, with his wife Adella Jean on September 15, 2015.
Randy’s cousin Rhonda “Blue” Pelton was his Best Friend since childhood; they were always taking care of each other.
When Randy met met his Adella Jean (Lewman) Rising in August of 2014, he told her “the one person I can’t wait for you to meet is my best friend Blue, because I know she is going to love you as much as I love you!”
Randy and Jean were married on December 21, 2016, at the Eagles in Crawford and they lived in Crawford till April 2018, when they moved to Harrison. There they resided with their five fur babies. Everybody knew Wilbur and Abbey, since they went everywhere with Randy; sometimes, they let Jean come, too.
Randy is survived by his wife Adella Jean (Lewman) and their five fur babies; His Sister Sharon (Dale) Travnicek of Harrison, their children Lisa (Kent) Anders of Bayard, Ne, Larry (Scott) Alwin of Thermopolis, WY, Libby (Ben) Lamp of Lusk, WY, Tommy (Heather) Travnicek of Scottsbluff, NE; His Brother Rocky (Cindy) Rising of Sutherland, NE their children Kasey (Jackie) Rising of Rapid City, SD, Kody (Sarah) Rising of Garland, NE Kirby (Georgia) Rising of Golden, CO. Great Nieces Kayla (Trey) Pedersen, Brayla (Layne) Rawls, Bailey Alwin, Brielle Alwin, Tallii Anne Travnicek, Lonni Lamp, Kenadi Rising, Hattie Rising, and Willa Rising. Great Nephews Colby Anders, Kalane Anders, Trayton Travnicek, Trace Travnicek, Drake Lamp, Dayne Lamp, Colt Travnicek, Blake Travnicek, Cody Dale Travnicek, Logan Rising and Gage Rising. He had one Great – Great Nephew Arlo Rawls.
He was preceded in death: His parents Wilbur Lewis and Helen Mae (Londrigan) Rising, His nephew Barry Dale Travnicek, Grandparents Earl and Ercil Rising and Robert and Myrtle Londrigan. He was also preceded in death by Gibby and Halen Mae, his fur babies.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements for Randy Rising.
