     The Pennington County Sheriff’s Officer says Monday night’s double shooting in Rapid Valley that left a woman dead and hospitalized a man was actually an attempted murder suicide.
Sheriff’s investigators say 33-year old Steven Custer of Rapid City fatally shot 32-year old Mercades Dahlvang of Phillip at a home, then shot himself.
      Custer remains in critical condition at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital. Investigators say Dahlvang and Custer were in a relationship,Â
