During the September Board Meeting there was a changing of the guard for the Riverside Discovery Center Board of Directors. Andy Hayward moved to Past President, welcoming Tiffany Schank as the newest President of the Riverside Discovery Center Board. While a relatively new addition to the Board, Tiffany has been a longtime supporter of RDC and frequents the facility. Kodie Woodral was elected as the President Elect; Mark Haag continues to serve as the organization’s Treasurer; and Chrissy Land transitioned into the role of Secretary for RDC.
Additionally, after an exhaustive Executive Director search, RDC is excited to announce they have an accepted offer for the position and anticipate that individual will be joining the facility in the next 30 days. The selection of this candidate will position RDC to not only maintain its current facility, but hopefully grow the organization to even better serve the Western Nebraska area. More details on the selected candidate will be forthcoming.
Tiffany Schank stated, “I am excited to take a more active role in the Riverside Discovery Center Board. It is a fantastic organization and a great addition to our community. The Board is comprised of volunteers, and we are always looking for community members with diverse backgrounds to add value to our organization. Additionally, as an organization we are very excited for the results of our Executive Director search and can’t wait to share more information in the near future about the outstanding candidate we have selected.”
