Chadron’s Fur Trade Days has run into a slight hiccup with the vouchers for its carnival.
They were supposed to be available starting today, but Board President Kevin Oleksy says an unexpected issue with the vendor used by carnival partner Mac’s Carnival to print the vouchers has delayed their release.
Oleksy calls it “a disappointing setback,” but says with Fur Trade Days still 5 weeks away, he’s confident the vouchers will arrive in plenty of time.
When they do get here, it will be announced on the Fur Trade Days Facebook page and website as well KCSR/KBPY and other local media.
A number of vouchers have already been earmarked for a program that provided them free of charge to K-4 students of the Chadron Public Schools. They will be available for pickup at the Chadron Chamber of Commerce office.
The remaining vouchers cost $25 and will be available at area banks. They are redeemable for one night of unlimited rides at the carnival. The same unlimited ride offer will be $30 at the ticket booth.
The Chadron Fur Trade Days carnival will be open 6:00-midnight, Thurs-Sat, July 11-13.
