Nebraska Extension Release
Nebraska Extension will offer the Part 107 Remote Exam Prep Course on Thursday, Jan. 9, at the UNL Panhandle Research, Extension, and Education Center in Scottsbluff. The course is one of 14 in the 2025 Winter-Spring courses to be held across Nebraska. It is a valuable educational opportunity for anyone interested in flying drones for commercial or public applications, including emergency management, law enforcement, real estate and land management, photography, and agriculture.
โThe course is geared toward professional pilots who intend to make drone flying an aspect of their career or work duties,โ said Dr. Dirk Charlson, Nebraska Extension educator and course instructor.
If you plan to be an agricultural spray drone pilot, Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is an important step towards that goal. The course does not specifically address spray drone regulations, but you will gain all the knowledge needed to pass the Part 107 drone exam.
The one-day (eight-hour) course prepares students to pass the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge Exam required for a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (a.k.a drone license). Study materials, presentation notes, and lunch will be provided.
Online pre-registration is required. The course registration fee is $275. Discounts are available to eligible students and educators by completing an online application.
