Ribbon-Cutting For Temporary Chadron Home Of Platte Valley Bank Branch

Loading

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held Monday morning for the temporary home of the new Chadron branch of Platte Valley Bank.

Platte Valley announced in February that it was opening branches in Chadron and Alliance and has been operating at 261 Main in Chadron for several months, first as a loan office and now with full banking services following regulatory approval.

Hod Kosman, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board for the bank and its parent Platte Valley Companies, took part in the ceremony along with Zac Karpf, president of the banks in Nebraska, and Chadron-Alliance President Rob Bila.

Kosman says there was no hesitation in opening a Chadron branch even though the community already had 6 financial institutions

Kosman says Chadron and Alliance fill a gap in Platte Valley’s service area.

Platte Valley needed a temporary home in Chadron while it remodels the old Anderson Clothing building into its permanent location. Kosman wants to move in as soon as possible, but admits it probably won’t be until next year.

Platte Valley’s staff in Chadron is a combination of local residents who, like Bila, moved over from other Chadron banks, and a handful of individuals from other Platte Valley locations.
