Richard Tommy Dreamer was a New Year’s baby, born on January 2, 2001 in Pine Ridge, SD to Rose Dreamer and Richard Clifford, Jr. Richard made his journey to the Spirit World on August 2, 2023 in Eagle Butte, SD.
Richard attended OLC Headstart, Pine Ridge Elementary, Isna Wica Owayawa, Oelrichs High School and graduated from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, CA. After high school graduation, he attended United Tribe Technical College for a year. He worked for the Prairie Wind Casino and then at the IHS in Eagle Butte, SD as a pharmacy technician.
Richard is survived by his mother, Rose Dreamer (Chris); father, Richard Clifford, Jr.; siblings, Indika Dreamer and Vaughn Clifford of Bismarck, ND; grandmothers, Delores Red Shirt and Merilyn Bear Robe, both of Oglala, SD; girlfriend, Chandler Ellen Rose Marrowbone of Eagle Butte, SD; aunts, Roxie (Tony) Whirlwind Horse of Pine Ridge, SD, Rhonda and Rochelle Dreamer of Oglala, SD, Rachel Dreamer of Charlotte, NC, Jackie Dreamer of Martin, SD and Darlene Twiss of Pine Ridge, SD; and uncles, Al Dreamer, Jr. of Oglala, SD, George (Bessie) Dreamer of Pine Ridge, SD, Todd Dreamer and Arley Dreamer, both of Rapid City, SD, Marty Aberle & Family of Minnesota, Orrin Wing & Family of Cortez, CO.
Richard was preceded in death by his grandfather, Al Dreamer, Sr.; uncles, Craig Dreamer, Nathan Dreamer, and Gabe Dreamer, Sr.; great grandparents, Aaron and Marjorie Dreamer; Great-great grandmother, Irene Red Shirt; and cousins, Jesiah Dreamer, Edward White Eagle, Jr., Jared Twiss, Jerry Dreamer, and Aloysius “Tres” Dreamer, III.
