In an exciting announcement on social media, Riverside Discovery Center and Zoo announced the arrival of a new raccoon named Flick. The Nebraska panhandle’s only zoo stated in their post that Flick was donated and Keepers have been hard at work at an empty space across from the outdoor chimp exhibit just for him.
According to RDC, Flick is only four months old and very active. They have provided him with a pool because he loves to dunk his food in water, a habit that is commonly seen in raccoons, and he also loves to cool down on hot days.
Keepers are slowly weaning him into his new permanent enclosure and making sure he is adapting well to his new home.
