Robert (Bob) Bannan of Hickory Creek, Texas, passed away on December 26, 2024
from pancreatic cancer. He was 73.
Bob is survived by his daughter Kaley Nuss, son-in-law Chad, and
grandchildren, Gwyneth and Hayden; siblings, Donna Pierce (Howard), Mary
Bannan (Royce Hardin), Tom Bannan (Vana), Bill Bannan (Vicki) and numerous
nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Robert and mother,
Delora. Bobโs best friend Bill Belk also preceded him in death.
Bob went to high school in Chadron, Nebraska and then lived in Cheyenne,
Wyoming for several years before moving to the Dallas, Texas area. He was a self-
employed contractor who had amazing craftsman talent. All of the family
members benefited at one time or another from his skill and willingness to help,
even if it meant travel far and wide. Not only was Bob skilled in major projects,
but he was especially talented at creating picture frames, stained glass, bird
houses, and redwood flower pots. Bob was also a self-taught skilled mechanic
and car buff.
Bobโs daughter Kaley and her family were the loves of his life. He was so proud
of them all and nothing made him happier than spending time together.
Bobโs trust in the Lord was steadfast and his faith never wavered. A favorite
verse: โLord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the Earth!โ
According to Bobโs wishes, there will only be a small Celebration of Life service
for the family.
