Rollover Early Sat Kills Upton Teen Near Lingle

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says driver fatigue is being investigated as the cause of a rollover accident early Saturday morning just north of Lingle that killed 18-year-old Caleb Brenner of Upton.

The crash occurred around 4 am when Brenner’s northbound pickup failed to negotiate a left curve on Hwy 85 and went off the road’s east side.

Brenner attempted to correct but the pickup overturned. He was not wearing a seatbelt and died from his injuries at the scene.

This is the 84th fatality on Wyoming roadways this year, down from 95 at the same time last year and 117 in 2019 but up slightly from 81 in 2018.
