Rugar Cole Hornbeck, 23 week old stillborn baby boy to Arie Hornbeck and Willard Waters, Jr., was born and passed away on July 12, 2024 at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, SD.
My son, you will be missed dearly, say hello to grandma Carol for me, love mom (Arie).
Rugar is survived his mother, Arie Hornbeck; father, Willard “Jay” Waters, Jr.; siblings, Aryk and Alyza Spider both of Porcupine, SD, and Iden Hornbeck of Rapid City, SD; grandfather, Willard Waters, Sr; aunts, Myrna (Aaron) Kills Back, Timber Martinez, Georgia Hornbeck, Kayla Gomez, and Devonna Velazquez all of Rapid City, SD, and Sioux Dawn Waters and Dashawn Janae Waters both of Wanblee, SD; uncles, Joseph, Marshall, & Cody Marshall all of Rapid City, SD, and Austin Lee Chipps, Sr. of Wanblee, SD. Rugar had a lot of cousins and comes from a big family with lots of love.
Rugar was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph & Carol (Bianas) Hornbeck; paternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Chipps; great grandparents, Tina Lone Hill, Burgess Bianas, Sr., Jack Hornbeck, and Loretta Janis; grandparents, Vonda Bianas, Anola Bianas, Leo Bianas, Sr., and Robert & Mark Hornbeck; cousins, Samuel Hornbeck, Baby Red Feather, Baby Boy Hornbeck, Legend Esquivel, Dacia and Jeremiah (Remi) Perez; aunt, Johanna Waters; and uncles, Joseph Martinez, Sr. and Jacob Briggs.
Pallbearers are Joseph Martinez, Jr. and Adonis Kills Back.

Visitation will be held from 3-4 for Rugar Cole Hornbeck on Saturday July 20, 2024 at the Sioux Funeral Home n Pine Ridge, SD.
Graveside services will be at 4:30 at the Porcupine Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Porcupine with Milton Mesteth officiating.
