Samuel Charles Moves Camp was born on July 28, 1948 near Wanblee, SD to James and Ellen (Winters) Moves Camp. Samuel made his journey to the Spirit World on June 29, 2024 at his
home near Oglala, SD.

Samuel is survived by his children, Richard Roy, Two Hoops (Alaequah) Moves Camp, Trudine Moves Camp, TaSagye Wakan Moves Camp, Andrea Moves Camp, Hannah (Andy Her Many Horses) Moves Camp, TaSina Tanka Moves Camp, and T (Ronald) Moves Camp; sister, Germaine Moves Camp; hunka relatives, Patsy Ewenin, Charlie Brown, Wizipan Garnette, Debbie Preston, Tamara Spotted Tail, and Khonway New Holy; 32 grandchildren; 10 great
grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ellen Moves Camp; spouse, Eileen
(New Holy) Moves Camp; son, John Moves Camp; brothers, James Dean Moves Camp, Michael Moves Camp, Vern Moves Camp, and Louie Moves Camp; one sister in infancy; grandchildren, Racen Moves Camp and Roan Iron Horse; great grandson, Leo Starr; paternal grandparents, Sam Moves Camp and Winnie Iron Rope; and maternal grandparents, Leona Winters-Brewer and Alex Sitting Up/Winters.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Bores A Hole, Boy Winds, Tim Poitra, Ken Youngman, Ray Pette
(Red Cloud), (Chief) Kerry Prosper, Jim Tolstrop, Greg Cambell, Trudy New Holy, and
Alternate-Chris White Eagle.

A four night wake service will start on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Moves Camp Residence in Grass Creek-Oglala, SD at 4. Funeral Service is 1 pm on Friday. Kerry Prosper will provide traditional Lakota Services. Burial is at the Moves Camp Family Cemetery in Oglala
