Alliance is hosting the first “Sandhills Awaken” today from 1:00-10:00 at Laing Lake, a little more than a block north of Alliance High School.
Organizers describe Sandhills Awaken as a faith-filled, family-friendly even with music, food, and kids activities.
Kickoffing off the music will be area performers and the Praise Teams of some local churches, leading into the headliners – Megan Danielle and Aaron Shust.
Megan Danielle competed on two of the best-known TV talent competitions and tied for 6th on The Voice before finishing as last year’s runner-up on American Idol.
Aaron Shust exploded onto the Christian music scene in 2007 with the song “My Savior My God.”
It hit #1 on 6 different charts on the same day and led to his receiving three GMA Dove Awards in 2007 for Song, Songwriter, and New Artist of the Year.
