Funeral services for 34-year old Sara Lance are Sat, Jan 21, 2023 at 2:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kyle, SD, with Pastor Kim Montileaux officiating.
Burial is at St Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle.
A one-night wake service starts Friday, Jan 20, at noon at Our Lady of Sorrows in Kyle.
Sara Fay Lance was born on September 17, 1988 in Pine Ridge, SD, to Ken Lance and Noreen Two Bulls. Sara made her journey to the Spirit World on January 10, 2023 at the IHS Hospital in Pine Ridge.
Sara is survived by daughter Dejah Featherman of Kyle; parents Ken (Marlena Poor Bear) Lance of Wanblee, SD and Noreen (Lydel Young Bull Bear) Two Bulls of Kyle; nieces LaSeila; nephews Larry Jr, LaSante, Bernicio, Josiah, and Phoenix, all of Kyle; sisters Shantasia Young Bull Bear and Cathy Two Bulls, both of Kyle, Lorraine & Lisa Martinez of Lincoln, NE, Louisa Wolf of Rosebud, SD; brothers Moses & Ken Jr Lance, both of Rosebud; aunts Eileen Two Bulls, Sandra Brown Bull-Janis, Rose Blue Thunder all of Kyle, Connie Two Bulls of Red Shirt Table, SD, Carol Red Bird and Geraldine Richards of Rapid City, and Andrea Two Bulls, Lynette Two Bulls, and Veronica Two Bulls all of Pine Ridge; uncles Poncho Two Bulls of Newtown, ND, Les Two Bulls of Rosebud, Manuel Two Bulls of Oglala, Shaun Two Bulls of Allen, SD, and Kevin Lance of Rapid City; and grandparents Francis Two Bulls of Red Shirt Table, Julie Two Bulls and Fleta Two Bulls, both of Oglala, Bernadine Red Kettle of Wanblee, SD, and Geno and Phyllis Winters of Hisle, SD.
Sara was preceded in death by her sister Lacey Rae Two Bulls; uncle Duane Two Bulls; grandmothers Adele Brown Bull and Lorraine Red Kettle; and grandfather Lesley Lance.
Pallbearers will be Tony Martinez, Michael Two Bulls, Larry Romero Jr, LaSante Romero, Jerome Haupipi, Wesley Hopkins Jr, Jessica Two Bulls, Michelle Two Bulls, Crystal Janis, and Lorraine Martinez.
