School’s Out For Christmas In Chadron, But Not Before High School Says “Thanks”

Loading

This is the last day of class before Christmas break for the Chadron Public Schools, and it’s just a half-day at that.

Chadron High School students won’t be in class anywhere near that long because this is their annual Day of Service.

It has teachers, students, and even staff working on community service projects around the schools and in the town as a way to give back and thank residents for supporting them and the school.

The easiest project to spot has the Cardinal Singers performing mini-concerts Christmas carols to the nursing home, hospital, and a handful of public spaces.

They gave a preview yesterday morning by singing on Sound Off on KCSR and Community Spotlight on FM 107.7 KBPY
