A South Dakota couple has pleaded Not Guilty to producing and distributing online child pornography involving their own child.
42-year old Timothy White and 24-year old Leslie White of Vale, about 20 miles north of Sturgis, are scheduled for trial on Feb 28. They face at least 15 years and up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
U-S Attorney for South Dakota Alison Ramsdell says the incidents leading to the charges occurred between February and December of last year.
The Whites are accused of “permitting or encouraging” their minor child to “engage in or assist another person in engaging in sexually explicit conduct, for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.”
The federal indictment accuses the Whites of then sending the pornography to other individuals over the internet.
