Sen. Ricketts Announces First ever Ag Forum for NE State Fair

Yesterday,โ€ฏU.S. Senator Pete Ricketts announced he will be hosting his first-ever โ€œFederal Issues Forumโ€ at the Nebraska State Fair on Monday August 26 from 10AM-1PM CT. The event will include three panel discussions on Nebraskaโ€™s agriculture industry:

  1. โ€œEnvironmental Overregulation: A Conversation on Government Overreach, Electric Vehicles & Moreโ€ hosted By Senator Pete Rickets.
  2. โ€œFood Security Is National Security: A Panel On The Importance Of Trade To The U.S.โ€ hosted by Congressman Adrian Smith.
  3. โ€œNavigating The Process: A Panel On Agribusiness And The Federal Governmentโ€ hosted by Senator Pete Ricketts.

The panels will be open to the public in the Raising Nebraska Building and include a moderated question and answer portion.

Senator Ricketts Interviewed by Nebraska TV’s Steve White

โ€œServing Nebraskans will always be my first priority and itโ€™s important that we do everything we can to protect our number one industry in the state which is agriculture,โ€ Ricketts said in an interview with Nebraska TVโ€™s Steve White. โ€œThatโ€™s why weโ€™re doing this Federal Issues Forum at the Nebraska State Fair. I want to make sure that Washington knows what challenges agriculture is facing in states like Nebraska.โ€
