Yesterday, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts announced he will be hosting his first-ever “Federal Issues Forum” at the Nebraska State Fair on Monday August 26 from 10AM-1PM CT. The event will include three panel discussions on Nebraska’s agriculture industry:
- “Environmental Overregulation: A Conversation on Government Overreach, Electric Vehicles & More” hosted By Senator Pete Rickets.
- “Food Security Is National Security: A Panel On The Importance Of Trade To The U.S.” hosted by Congressman Adrian Smith.
- “Navigating The Process: A Panel On Agribusiness And The Federal Government” hosted by Senator Pete Ricketts.
The panels will be open to the public in the Raising Nebraska Building and include a moderated question and answer portion.
“Serving Nebraskans will always be my first priority and it’s important that we do everything we can to protect our number one industry in the state which is agriculture,” Ricketts said in an interview with Nebraska TV’s Steve White. “That’s why we’re doing this Federal Issues Forum at the Nebraska State Fair. I want to make sure that Washington knows what challenges agriculture is facing in states like Nebraska.”
