During the month of September 2024, twenty-seven people were killed in traffic
crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

ยจ These 27 fatalities occurred in 21 fatal crashes.
ยจย ย ย ย ย ย Ten of the twenty-one vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, four were using a seatbelt, and seven had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.
ยจ Fifteen of the fatalities were in rural locations*.
ยจ There were three fatalities on the interstate, eighteen on other highways, and six on local roads.
ยจ Six of the fatalities were motorcyclists.
ยจ Two of the fatalities were driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
