The public celebration of the life of former U-S Senator Mike Enzi of Wyoming will be held next Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Gillette College Pronghorn Center in Gillette.
Gillette Memorial Chapel says the ceremony begins at 1:00 and will be officiated by Pastor Donavon Voigt of First Baptist Church.
The 77-year old Enzi, a Republican known as a consensus-builder in an increasingly polarized Washington, died Monday in a Colorado hospital.
The former senator who left the Senate in January broke his neck in a bicycle accident near his home in Gillette last Friday.
Enzi served 24 years in the U-S Senate, 10 years in the Wyoming Legislature, and 8 years as mayor of Gillette.
