Severe storms rolled through Chadron Saturday afternoon causing minor flooding in town.
The first alert for severe weather came out around 2:30 Saturday afternoon with a severe thunderstorm warning for Chadron. Heavy rain along with small hail accumulated quickly causing minor flooding on first street between Bordeaux and Shelton.
One car was seen stranded in the flooding with the occupants able to evacuate the vehicle safely.
2.05 inches of rain were recorded just two blocks away from the flooding at the Chadrad Communications office during the storm with more expected into Saturday evening.
