Funeral services for 63-year old Shannon Palmier are Tues, March 26, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge, SD, with Ms Joyce Tibbitts officiating.
Cremation will follow the services with burial at a later date
Visitation precedes and follows the funeral from 3:00-to-9:00, also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pine Ridge.

Shannon Lee Palmier was born on August 17, 1960 in Pine Ridge, SD to Jacklyn Rose Palmier and Robert Palmier. Shannon made her journey to the spirit world on March 20, 2024 at her home in Pine Ridge.
Shannon is survived by her children Melanie Waters, Lester Waters Jr, Cass Waters Sr, Cole Waters, and Lucy Real Bird; hunka son Zack Janis; grandchildren, Jayden Brewer, Timothy Waters, Shayonna Waters, Joseph Long Soldier, Alias Waters, Cass Delane Waters Jr, Cassandra Waters, Cole Cash Waters, River Ray Waters, Sierra Waters, Misty Waters, Cheyenne Waters, Aria Hawk, Hank Real Bird, Jonnyana Real Bear, John Cole Real Bird, and Emma Lou Real Bird; sisters, Jackie Miller, Suzy Mesteth, Jenny Runs Close To Lodge, Elena Singer, and Joann Flynn; brother Dale “Rawhide” Palmier; aunts Lindy Trueblood, Gloria Goggles, and Norma Rendon; uncle Gary Goggles; god-children Jasper Yellow Bird and Kasey Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Shannon was preceded in death by her mother Jacklyn Rose Palmier; spouse Lester Waters Sr; son Lyle Ray Waters; daughter Misty Waters; granddaughter Sienna Waters; maternal grandparents Lawrence “Prunes” Ecoffey and Gladys (Steele) Ecoffey; sister Lynette Palmier; brother Billy Palmier; aunts Evelyn “Sissy” Eagle Bull, Tinky Steele, and Dolly Steele; and uncle Tubby Palmier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pine Ridge IHS EMS, and all friends and family.
