Shelby Lynne Running Hawk was born May 13, 1993 in Rapid City, SD to Andy Running Hawk and Shannon Jefferson. Shelby made her journey to the Spirit World on January 1, 2025 in Boulder, CO.
Shelby is survived by her sister, Brandy Runnings Hawk; brothers, Andrew Running Hawk, Bryce Running Hawk, Matthew Schwartz, and Anthony Running Hawk; aunt, Jill Mesteth, Julie Marshall, and Jennifer Mesteth; step-mother, LaRae Coats; and foster parents, Ellana and Scott Weeth.
Shelby was preceded in death by her mother, Shannon Jefferson; father, Andy Running Hawk; maternal grandparents, Clarence & Beverly Jefferson; paternal grandparents, Fred & Thelma Mesteth; uncles, James Mesteth; and nephews, Amory Running Hawk, and Javon Blacksmith.
Pallbearers will be Bryce Running Hawk, Matthew Schwartz, Eric Mesteth, Robert Two Two, Jr., Anthony Running Hawk, and Beau Two Two.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
