Sheridan County, Alliance Lose Area Championship Games

Both the B7 and C7 area tournaments went to a winner take all game on Tuesday night to determine a champion..

Sheridan County Security First scored three runs in the top of the 7th inning to break a 4-4 tie against Valentine to force a 2nd championship game in the C7 tourney.

In the decisive game Valentine brought across 8 runs in the top of the 6th to erase a 9-3 deficit and fight back for a 12-10 win to clinch a spot at the state tournament in Wisner.

Ogallala blasted Alliance 18-1 in a rain delayed first game to force the extra game in the B7.

The Spartans didn’t put up much of a fight in the 2nd game, losing 22-0, as Ogallala heads off to state.

With the state tournament just three days away, storms postponed several tournaments in south central and southeastern Nebraska and will be finished up today.
