After being on hiatus for some time, the popular โSlim Daysโ are being brought back to the Dawes County Fairgrounds in the form of โSlim Days Reloadedโ, which celebrates the 30 year anniversary of the local concert- and features local talent.
For anyone unfamiliar with the event, Slim Days organizers say it โhas always been to have fun, celebrate friendship, promote live entertainment, and support great causes.โ
A fitting description considering funds raised this year will be contributed towards the Sarah Funk Memorial Scholarship, which has been established with the Chadron State Foundation to support Chadron State College students as a lasting legacy to this group of friends and their loved ones.
This year’s three-day bash began on October 18th and will continue through Sunday, October 20th. Performances will be highlighted by the Judd Hoos Band, supported by Wilson Yee, Live Animals, Dick Burns, and Flannel Sunday, featuring Laura Martin.
Prices are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Commemorative t-shirts and hats are available for sale online and at the venue. For more information and updates, visit the Slim Days Facebook page or slimdays.org.
