According to KNEB News, an in-flight emergency involving a single-engine plane that was losing power ended without incident or injury in Alliance Wednesday morning.

Airport Director Lynn Placek says around 8:30 a.m., the aircraft carrying four people with only 60 pounds of fuel remaining had lost power and was in danger of engine shutdown, forcing the pilot to notify the Denver FAA Center, which then coordinated response by Alliance Fire, Police and Airport Maintenance staff.

Multiple first response units were deployed to the airport for the planeโ€™s emergency landing, which happened without further incident, and all units were cleared by 8:40 a.m.

Placek and Fire Chief Troy Shoemaker both said the safety of citizens is their top priority, and both were glad the incident concluded without any harm to the pilot or the public.
